Christofe DuBois started this search engine in 1999 "as a way, mostly, for me to find the SCA stuff I needed..." The site now has a resource database of 516 SCA and medievally related sites: personal, professional, and official, and the list keeps growing! He also says he's "a reasonably good web designer, and am always on the lookout for barter deals- design for SCA accoutrements n' stuff."
T L Barnes Enterprises has a fabulous, extensive and very reasonably priced collection of trims, buttons and appliques. If you love costuming, or just regular clothes sewing, you know how difficult it is to find interesting buttons. I bought a bunch from her at Costume College last year and could not believe how little it cost for metal buttons!

Reenactor is a site that gives access to re-enactor groups across the country and the world. One of the things I like about them is that they cover periods from Ancient times to Korea/Viet Nam. Each time period has it's own Webmaster or Mistress who is active in that time.
Milieux Online is a costume site with wonderful links and sources. They say they are the "best online source for costumes, materials, accessories, books, etc."
Lacis is a family business that has operated for over 30 years. They offer an extensive selection of threads, ribbons, tools and supplies for the textile arts, including lace-making, embroidery, knitting, tatting, crochet, costume, bridal, etc. Plus they have a huge inventory of books relating to textiles and costume in both English and foreign languages.

There are many designs to choose from. Bob usually gets nature designs, such as geckos, bats or turtles. People are always asking him where he gets his shirts.
